About
TeachingAmericanHistory.org

TeachingAmericanHistory.org is a project of the Ashbrook Center for Public Affairs at Ashland University.

The Summer Institutes and Saturday Seminars are funded by the United States Department of Education's Teaching American History Grant Program. They are offered in conjunction with Regional Education Service Agency II in Huntington, WV, the Ohio Distance Learning Academy in Toledo, OH, and the Western Buckeye Educational Service Center in Paulding, OH. Further information about the Teaching American History Grant Program is available from the United States Department of Education. We also maintain a list of other Teaching American History Grant web sites.

The image at the top of each page on this site is from John Trumbull's Signing of the Declaration of Independence. The original hangs in the Rotunda of the United States Capitol. A high resolution version (1.9 MB) is also available.
