American Foreign Policy

Applications were due by March 1, 2008.

Students examine events and issues in the foreign policy of the American republic. Topics include the major schools of thought and approaches to foreign policy, the connection between domestic and foreign politics, and the connection between the principles of the American regime and its foreign policy.

Instructors: David F. Krugler is Associate Professor of History at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville and author of This is Only a Test: How Washington, D.C., Prepared for Nuclear War. Stephen Knott is Professor of Strategy at the U.S. Naval War College. He is the author of Alexander Hamilton and the Persistence of Myth, Secret and Sanctioned: Covert Operations and the American Presidency, and The Reagan Years.
